BREAKING: Brunswick Head Coach Kole Carter Moving to the College Ranks

Brunswick is now searching for a new Head Football Coach as today, Kole Carter posted on his Facebook page that he is heading to the University of Rio Grande to become the Director of Recruiting and Co-Defensive Coordinator.

The University of Rio Grande is located in Rio Grande, Ohio.

The Brunswick Athletic Department issued the following release:

BRUNSWICK, OH — Brunswick High School Head Football Coach Koleton Carter has announced that he will be stepping down from his position to pursue a coaching opportunity at the collegiate level.

Coach Carter served as the head coach of the Blue Devils for the past two seasons, compiling an overall record of 8–14, including a 7–6 record in Greater Cleveland Conference (GCC) play. During his tenure, he led the program with a strong emphasis on accountability, player development, and program culture. He worked to establish a competitive foundation while fostering leadership, discipline, and pride within the Brunswick football program. His commitment to student-athletes and his passion for the game made a meaningful impact on the program and the school community.

“We are grateful for the time, energy, and leadership Coach Carter brought to Brunswick High School,” said Athletic Director Jim Kovi. “He has been a dedicated leader for our players and has helped move our football program forward. We wish him nothing but success as he takes the next step in his coaching career.”

The search for Brunswick High School’s next head football coach will begin immediately and will be led by Athletic Director Jim Kovi and Assistant Athletic Director Brian Schmidt. The district is committed to conducting a thorough and comprehensive search to identify a leader who will continue to build on the program’s tradition and align with the values of Brunswick High School.
