Week 5 Video: Hudson Explorers vs Highland Hornets

Hudson looked to remain undefeated in 2020 as they traveled to Highland to take on the Hornets. Hudson’s offense got of to a quick start and never looked back. The no huddle offense seemed to be too much for the Hornets as they started the scoring quickly due to a recovered Hornet fumble.

The Hornets were able to cap off a nice second offensive possession with a touchdown run by Lukas Stiles. The game was tied at seven midway through the first. From there, Hudson would reel off 28 unanswered points. QB Jacob Paltani led Hudson with 103 yards passing, 42 yards rushing, and two touchdowns. Hudson overpowered Highland with a two-headed monster in the run game. Aiden Lal had nine carries for 105 yards and two touchdowns. Drew Lightner finished with 12 carries, 147 yards and two touchdowns. Both averaged over 10 yards per carry in the game.

Highland would score twice in the second half. Once on a two yard run by QB Aaron Filis and again on a 13 yard pass from Filis to Max Kohmann. With the 42-21 victory, Hudson improves to 5-0, while Highland drops to 2-2. Hudson will play host to North Royalton in week 6. Highland will host Barberton.
