Strongsville, OH (May 23, 2025) – This week, the Strongsville Board of Education approved Mr. Ryan Kilbane as the next varsity boys basketball head coach for Strongsville High School.
Mr. Kilbane has most recently spent seven seasons at Brunswick High School as the junior varsity head basketball coach (117-35 overall record) and an assistant coach on the varsity staff. He also held those same positions at Strongsville High School for five seasons prior to his coaching experience at Brunswick.
Mr. Kilbane is a graduate of Strongsville High School (Class of 1995) and an alumni of the Mustangs varsity basketball team.
“What an incredible opportunity this is. I am truly blessed, especially having grown up and been raised in Strongsville. I look forward to cultivating relationships with our players and families throughout the District. I am beyond thrilled to be back home, and can’t wait to get to work,” said Mr. Ryan Kilbane, Strongsville High School varsity boys basketball head coach.
“As a graduate of Strongsville High School, Ryan’s passion for the Mustangs basketball program was evident throughout the entire interview process. His detailed plan to integrate Strongsville’s youth basketball programs with our high school program was exceptional and really stood out to our entire interview team. We are excited about his plan to continue to set high expectations for the basketball program and ensure our student-athletes align with the culture we are building for Strongsville’s Athletic Program,” said Mr. Denny Ziegler, Strongsville High School Athletic Director.
