8 teams have decided to leave the Great Lakes Conference to form a new conference starting in the 2024-25 school year.

The School leaving the conference to form their own conference are,

Bay Village

Buckeye

Lakewood

Normandy

North Olmsted

Rocky River

Valley Forge

No name has been decided yet for the new conference

(Holy Name has left the Great Lakes Conference as well, but has not yet decided on where they will go next.)

(Fairview has departed for the Chagrin Valley Conference)

(No word yet on what Elyria Catholic will do from here as well when this goes into effect for the 2024-25 Year.)
